Virtual Doctoral Symposium

As part of the longstanding partnership between UNC Charlotte and PH Ludwigsburg, the institutions celebrated their 30th year of collaborative educational research in 2025 by creating an opportunity for doctoral students at both institutions. Now, they too to take part in the rich tradition of sharing, discussing, and collaborating on meaningful research with colleagues on the other side of the ocean.

Welcome to the 2nd Annual German-American Doctoral Student Virtual Symposium!

This year’s symposium will take place from April 21-24, with a participant meet and greet on April 20 over Zoom ahead of presentations opening.

Digital posters are organized by topic, listed below, and doctoral students have the opportunity to prepare and record a virtual presentation to accompany their digital poster. When the symposium opens, participants and peers from both institutions have the opportunity to view each poster and presentation before offering feedback to the presenter in the form of comments on a post, almost like social media. We hope to then see discourse, mutual research interest, and future partnerships blossom from there!
